FORMULA E A well deserved double podium for the DS TECHEETAH drivers

July 12th 2021

After an absence of more than two years, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship returned to New York for the tenth race of the season. In both races, the two DS TECHEETAH drivers overperformed  with a double podium finish, earning valuable points and moving up to second place in the Team standings.

Round 10, July 10th 2021

The tenth race of the season began in the streets of Brooklyn where Jean-Éric Vergne managed to lead the way at the wheel of its DS E-TENSE FE21. By taking a superb second place, Jean-Éric Vergne climbed back into third in the Drivers’ standings, only 4 points behind the leader. As for the Portuguese driver, starting in Group 1 in qualifying was a bit difficult, but he had a good qualifying session and remains in contention for the Drivers’ title.

Round 11, July 11th 2021

The second race of the New York E-Prix was marked by a new podium for DS Automobiles and its partner TECHEETAH. In fact, it was more lively and closely-fought than yesterday’s first race and saw a great performance by reigning champion António Félix Da Costa, who took a brilliant 3rd place at the end of an exciting battle. Thanks to this, he climbed to second place in the Drivers' Championship. Unfortunately, Jean-Éric Vergne was unable to finish the race due to a technical incident.

DS TECHEETAH is leading the championship, so it is on good notes that this New York weekend ends. The DS E-TENSE FE21 proved very quick all weekend but the rankings are still very tight and the drivers are ready to fight to the end and to battle it out in the streets of London in 2 weeks.
