Knowing how to calculate your Benefit in Kind (BIK) tax liability is important when choosing your company car.

Find your preferred car, along with its P11D value and BIK tax rate (%). The latter is based on a car’s CO₂ emissions. All of these can be found in the DS Range price list.

The amount you pay in Benefit in Kind tax will also depend on your income tax band, either 20% or 40%

P11D value x BIK rate = Taxable amount

Taxable amount x Income tax band = Amount payable per year
