ENGINES WITH OUR AVANT-GARDE TECHNOLOGY CONFORM TO 2020 EURO 6D WLTP EMISSIONS STANDARD

With an acknowledged expertise in reducing polluting emissions and greenhouse gases, DS Automobiles has always been a pioneer at introducing important technologies.

Proof is the PureTech petrol and BlueHDi diesel engines fitted to our current range of cars. In terms of harmful emissions these are already in line with the Euro 6d standard that comes into force in 2020.

The brand’s models are ahead of their time by complying with the most stringent Euro 6d emissions threshold, now assessed as part of the Worldwide harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP).

Bringing in a more demanding homologation on polluting emissions has led to a comprehensive rethink of engines by car makers. The objectives of this new regulation are to:

• Reduce emissions of CO2, the principal greenhouse gas responsible for climate change
• Enable customers to calculate their real-world fuel consumption more accurately
• Have homologation tests in real-world conditions.

To answer this new standard, DS Automobiles has chosen to innovate by investing in even more efficient anti-pollution technologies such as a new nitrogen oxide (NOx) treatment system on our BlueHDi diesel engines, and a unique particulate filter on our PureTech direct injection petrol engines.
