With the 225hp plug-in hybrid power unit, DS 4 E-TENSE combines low emissions and reduced fuel consumption. That means you can save money on fuel, but also that you're reducing your impact on the environment.

Quiet, comfortable driving

In our plug-in hybrid cars you’ll enjoy a quiet and totally flexible driving experience. It's both powerful and responsive, while offering a smooth and comfortable experience. When you’re driving in all-electric mode, a blue LED lights up in the windscreen. This means that when driving in Ultra Low Emission Zones (ULEZ) and other restricted areas, you will be able to show your car is in electric mode.

Range and charging

Run in Zero Emissions mode

Charging is vital in order to take full advantage of plug-in hybrid technology. For more efficient use, we recommend you charge your DS 4 E-TENSE daily. Different factors can affect the range of your plug-in hybrid car, such as weather conditions, your speed and even your driving style.

Speed

Speed is one of the factors that most affects the range of your plug-in hybrid car. Focus on a constant and moderate speed to maximise the range of your car.

Temperature control and heating

Depending on the weather conditions, your car’s battery is used to control the cockpit temperature. In winter, energy expenditure can be 35% higher than spring so you’re advised to heat or cool the temperature inside your plug-in hybrid car while it’s still charging.

Driving style and elevation

Elevation changes in the road and your driving style have a strong influence on the range of your plug-in hybrid car. Choose Hybrid Mode from the four available driving modes, take up eco-driving and use the regenerative braking to make the most of your battery and save energy by up to 15%.
