Thermal pre-conditioning of the battery N°8

BATTERY PRECONDITIONING

During a long journey and before arriving at a charging point, preconditioning allows the battery to reach the ideal temperature for optimising the charging speed (especially in cold weather). This means that it operates in the best conditions and delivers high and uniform charging power, regardless of the outside temperature.

 

Preconditioning can be triggered in 3 different ways: automatically with the on-board EV ROUTING, manually via the central screen (to be activated at least 30 minutes before charging), or remotely before departure via MyDS at the same time as cockpit preconditioning.

In-car EV ROUTING for perfect journeys

Plan your journeys as accurately as possible via the in-car EV Routing solution (included with DS IRIS SYSTEM). You will get an itinerary including the stops and time needed to charge your car, the details of each charge point, all while taking into account the range of your N°8 and traffic information. EV Routing adapts when conditions change (diversions, traffic), so you enjoy the best possible journeys.

With N°8, in addition to the services included in your Connect One and Connect Plus Packs, you have the option of activating, for one year or the entire life of the vehicle, two services to be used thereafter according to your needs:

  • the "On Demand" heated steering wheel, for maximum comfort in cold weather,
  • "On Demand" Advanced Traction Control, to optimize the vehicle's traction according to operating conditions (snow, mud, sand) if your vehicle is fitted with M+S tires (available on 230 and 245 hp engines).
